Thanks Eddy and David

As we have also discovered, the Albanese regime and its Triumvirate of Albanese, Wong and Marles never cared about international law, and endorse illegal warfare, bombing and murder of Iranian civilians and sovereign heads of state.

They can’t tell you if it is legal or whether a crime has been committed, but they can tell you that they stand for the ‘liberation’ of Iran by carpet bombing their homes. They are America first, not Australia first.

This ALP regime elected on 34.6% of the vote is one of the most dangerous in history because they actually believe their own AUKUS propaganda that they are ‘good’ and anyone else that is independent is ‘bad’.

it used to be one voted independent or green, and then gave Labor the next preference. Well, that now ends.

Deputy dog Albanese is less 'cautious', and more 'complicit' with war criminal leaders of the US and Israel. 4/5ths of Labor, Liberals, Nationals, and One Nation appear little more than different propaganda flavors of the same problematic imperialist Neoliberalism. The most likely solution is joining up (BEFORE the election campaign) to actively organize to replace the LibLabNatON enshittification next Federal and State elections. I suggest with The Greens, or any genuinely proactive and ethical independents (maybe 1/3 of them?), and any likely new entrants which can demonstrate a (previous career) sufficient track record of giving a damn about what matters to us. Let's kick these deadbeats to the political curb, before they consolidate their knees on our necks!

All of the Gulf states, including Saudi, told Trump not to do this. He did it anyway with not only no set goals but with shifting reasons and no exit strategy.

Far from “liberating” Iranians, Trump has given them multiple reasons to hate the USA.

He has also shown the Gulf States the inherent and potentially catastrophic dangers of aligning themselves with the USA and by implication Israel.

To be honest I have no love for Menzies and I’m a Republican but … back in 1939 most Australians at least all those of British ancestry still considered themselves English, Welsh and Scottish as such considered themselves British and beholden to the Crown. So it was natural for Menzies and his ilk felt beholden to the Crown and the Mother Land.

“In much the same way Egypt was the last country Britain faced as a superpower, so too do I think Iran will be the last one we face as number one.”

I was able to get an essay from a drone operator at Holloman about the present state of things (of course, more a meditation than actual policy details.)

End the Bombing of Iran; No Blood for Oil!

https://world-outlook.com/2026/03/07/end-the-bombing-of-iran-no-blood-for-oil/

This editorial against the US/Israeli War on Iran offers an important broader perspective on the implications of Trump's war aims.

In an editorial from a year ago W-O warned:

“Trump’s “expansionist saber-rattling, attempts at resource grabbing reminiscent of the colonial era, and aggressive protectionism could lead to new wars and possibly another world conflagration. This is more likely in an increasingly unstable world in which ultra-rightist forces have already ascended to power, or are knocking on its doors, in a rising number of ‘first-world,’ or more accurately imperialist, countries.”

Today W-O warns:

“And, just as in Venezuela, U.S. imperialism seeks to gain an advantage vis-à-vis China. Before the U.S. attacks, Beijing was buying more than 80% of the oil shipped from Iran, as well as having been the buyer of more than half of Venezuela’s oil exports. Together, this oil accounts for about 17% of Chinese petroleum imports, a significant share of its total needs….the underlying competition between the United States and China threatens a much broader and more devastating military conflict down the road.”

…..

“Trump and his ilk will never install a government anywhere that represents the interests of the vast majority — working people. Simultaneously with his call on the Iranian people “to seize [their] destiny,” Trump told the New York Times he had “three very good choices” to lead the country for them. Once again, the White House is preparing to call the shots.”

……

“Now is the time to broaden protests that sprang up after the first bombing raids. United front actions — educating and drawing in broad layers of the population — are needed. These can center on the growing demands to immediately end the bombing of Iran.”

“The U.S. military should immediately get out of the Middle East!”
