Thank you Eddy and David.

One wonders if the Triumvirate (Wong, Albanese and Marles) actually believe anything they say. They say one thing in Opposition and yet do another in Government because it’s inconvenient. The internet exists and we can see what they said in policy speeches. While they may be ‘preferable’ to the LNP, a conservative Government will one day take control and use this convenient change in FOI law to its own advantage.

Albanese’s behaviour especially: macho and hyper aggressive to the Greens and dismissive of the independent crossbench, indicates a man relishing the power given him by 34.6% of the primary vote. He doesn’t have to listen to anyone because two thirds of the electorate can vote against the ALP but it wins 60% of the seats. Only in the Senate is there a chance for debate but Wong seems to cut deals with the LNP there too to destroy the crossbench.

Correct 💯in every detail . “The Triumverate “ Is an accurate description . What indeed was the point of the election ? Nothing has changed in any positive way . We now have “Freedom From Information “ and a penal colony on Nauru for asylum seekers and refugees . And not one perpetrator or designer of Robodebt has been appropriately prosecuted .

Thanks Elizabeth.

It is clear at this stage that no MPs besides Marles, Albanese and Wong have any decision making power. All other MPs in the ALP are told how to vote and not question the leadership.

As you point out, they have mastered Orwellian Government: claiming membership of human rights treaties and then disposing of asylum seekers on an isolated Pacific Island, ‘protecting’ us from the information our tax dollars paid for, and appointing as Corruption Commissioner someone who was found to have shown incredible lack of judgement in the Robodebt scandal that no one will likely ever be held accountable for.

Correct 👍🏻. We need only look at what Albanese did to Senator Payman , AND to his leadership rival , Tanya Plibersek , getting them both out of his way . He seems to imagine that receiving only a little over 30% of first preference votes was a genuine landslide . He should read Shelley’s poem , “Ozymandias”. ( “Look upon my works , ye mighty , and despair.” ) If indeed there HAVE been any Works to look upon . 🙄

The ALP is now opaque to FoI, authoritarian to dissent, and too busy chasing fossil fuels, Zionist Genocide arms deals, and US imperialism to give a damn about human rights, participatory grassroots democracy, or ecological sustainability. Everyone keeps assuming that the ALP still cares about immigrants, workers, and other poor, despite all the evidence against this. Read what the experts in the NGOs are saying, rather than the 0%investigative press releases from the ABC or other pro-Lab/Lib media. Maybe then you'll learn (as I do) that support for Zionist Genocide and US Imperialism and fossil fuel corruption is most of what the ALP now prioritizes. The traditional Labor perspective of social democracy now aligns closest to The Greens, since Labor Parties in Britain and elsewhere abandoned social democracy for imperialist Neoliberalism.

Albo, the disappointment of the century. Has he after all of his - I grew up in a state home with a single mum schtick - now become the most dishonest, self-serving, politician in Australian politics? I tell you what….he’s up there!

This Albanese version of a “Labor Party” government is no better than the Morrison government and other LNP govts before it . We now have “Freedom FROM Information” thanks to the spineless Albanese . We now have a Colonial-type Penal Colony on Nauru for asylum seekers and refugees “never to be released” ! . The promise of Social Housing , on which the PM

relentlessly campaigned , is not happening . Instead there are pathetic “Help to buy “ schemes , of assistance to a tiny fraction of those who need a roof over their heads, something that should be a basic human right .

As for the grovelling to the US and Israel by this government ( “How high would you like us to jump for you ?” 🤢🤢) they shame this nation and its people . A quote from Jonathan Cook , “Elections , as the saying goes, would not be allowed if they made any real difference .”. This government is an outstanding confirmation of the expression. To their eternal shame.
