The article is about Minns and the different treatment when it comes to pro-Palestine and climate action – beatings, pepper spray, arrests, media outrage – and the far quieter treatment of neo-Nazis and using these events to justify stronger police powers. That’s what the article is about. BTW, they’re not so-called neo-Nazis, they’re the real deal.

You say that the article is about Minns but then you reveal that you have Nazis on your mind after all, The Nazis are extinct. If someone wanted to be a real Nazi they would have to 1. learn German, 2. relocate to Europe and 3. travel back 90 years in time. Then they could get involved in reasserting Germany's place in Europe, join in the war and generally cause trouble for everyone. But that is not possible; it was a different time and place, you see.

Mate, are you here just for the argument? The article is about the double standards of a NSW Premier and NSW Police. As I said, they are called ”neo-Nazis” and identify as such. Nazism and Nazis didn’t cease to exist in August 1945, and quite a few came to Australia to seek sanctuary, if you care to look at Mark Aarons’ “War Criminals Welcome”. Some of these neo-Nazis have a direct link with those Nazi war criminals who came to Australia. Just ignoring this event doesn’t make it go away, nor does calling a journalist foolish for bringing it up. You can call them whatever you want, and you can say whatever the article is about, but if you want to play games, there’s many other places on the internet where you can have that debate.

So I should not argue with you? No, it does not work like that.

You are still going on about Nazis but I do not see that you have advanced the discussion. I am replying only because you are trying to bluff me.

I did not make the judgement that you are foolish. I would not do so without first reading your article.

This is who Chris Minns is. Nobody believes the weak excuse he provided about “the weekend”. Now he has a reason to go back to Parliament with the places of worship legislation. This is how we end up with bad laws in NSW.

As someone who purports to be a Labor Premier , or any kind of decent leader , Minns is a waste of space . He appears to be along the same lines as Albanese , actually doing as little as possible for the people of NSW . Public Interest zero .

How he can be seen to allow Police brutality for peaceful protesters in support of Palestinians while Nazi, White Supremisists

are apparently free from any restrictions is a breathtaking failure of the position he clings to .

The fanaticism on both sides is creeping insiduously into view. The politicians are ill equipped to deal with these issues with any clear sense of purpose and morality let alone knowing what the electorate want vs the powerful lobbies.

Aus must definitely avoid the UK situation where grannies have been arrested for "hate speech".

Premier Minns, Nakba Envoy Segal, some NSW Police, and most journos have demonstrated hate, authoritarianism, demonization and violence on peaceful protestors against the Nakba and fossil fuels climate disasters. This comparative complicity with white supremacists does strongly suggest that their opposition is not to racism against semites (Arabic & Hebrew speakers), but to those openly criticizing Israel's Nakba. These inhumane genocide supporters have demonized & criminalized Nakba dissent as much as they could, while facilitating actual antisemitism, like Israel's Nakba, and white supremacists marches. I predict these zionists and authoritarianists will continue with their racist policing, legislating, defunding, and hasbara propagandizing until Palestine & our climate are both murdered. In my experience, those deliberately and substantially complicit in the Israel Nakba are usually the same criminalizing 95% of dissent, and usually the same ignoring climate disasters causation by fossil fuels, and usually the same hating LGBT+, and so on. Persons so lacking in humanity and compassion deserve nothing but (non-violent) boycott, sanction, and replacement.

Well said Eddy, Dave and team. The fact that the NSW Police chose to rubber stamp a Neo-Nazi protest shows the inherent biases and flaws within the system. I have so many questions I would ask of Minns about how he governs. This incident really does suggest he is out of his depth if he doesn't realise that a Neo-Nazi rally application should have been escalated to Commissioner and to himself, NOT rubber stamped!

It is foolish to give attention to so-called neo-nazis. Their numbers are insignificant and they do not have any ideas of interest to the rest of us. They have made themselves for minor incidents of violence for which they should receive the due penalty but not publicity. It is not good journalism to advertise their demonstrations and it is just as foolish to make special laws about them.

Amnesty International would never say that, but if they did, they would call for an end to the influence of the Zionist lobby, or the Israel lobby. There’s a clear difference there, which was supported by the judgement of Justice Angus Stewart in the Federal Court, where he ruled criticism of Israel, Zionism and the IDF are not antisemitic and do not breach the law.

So, what would the decision be if say, a group attached to Amesty International decided to hold the exact same rally demanding the end of the Jewish Lobby in Australian politics?

Would they be denied?
