There are several unanswered questions if this were to proceed. Can I and my children opt out of the indoctrination? What are the penalties for opting out? Will the police arrive at my door to arrest me for resisting?
AA and state and federal Labor's positions on this remain inexplicable to me without descending to explanations such as state capture.

Why use bombs on a population when you can indoctrinate them from birth with the PERMISSION of a grovelling government ?? There are no words sufficient to describe the depths of grovelling submission by this excuse for a government to a foreign state now committing genocide in Palestine . Meanwhile Albanese gives a puff piece interview to The Saturday Paper in the grounds of The Lodge while playing with his dog and pleading for the public to “lower the temperature “. It will be Albanese’s version of ‘social cohesion’ and no one else’s. Classic middle management response to the broader issue of racism. We have all seen it in the office and workplace: the manager elevates one group over another and then creates a hierarchy of suffering. No wonder people feel alienated by this Commission.

I was under the impression that as a democratic nation that we have free choice as far as religious beliefs are considered. This sounds more like demanding than anything else, much like in the US where the government is told what to do because they've been paid to.
I can see the same thing beginning to happen here in Australia.
If Australia is to establish a Remembrance Day for tragedies involving minority community groups residing both in Australia and overseas then I suggest 4 community groups that MUST be included before any others:
1. Gazans
2. Lebanese
3. West Bank Palestinians
4. Iranians
After these you can add any others you like but definitely do not establish a Remembrance Day for ONE ethnic, cultural, religious or community minority residing anywhere.
And do not try to in include any foreign tragedy in our solemn ANZAC Day ceremonies. This is when Australians remember OUR servicemen who served our nation in previous and current years.
All of this has nothing to do with Australian education; primary, secondary, tertiary education or government agencies. It is about blatant interference by a morally corrupt nation trying to reinstate virtue and credibility lost because of genocidal activities towards "other" humans.

However, most Australian jurisdictions (see for example Imperial Acts Application Act 1922 (Vic)) have *expressly* preserved Habeas Corpus Act 1640. It will be a pity, perhaps a tragedy, if the culture wars du jour are allowed to perform a de facto end run around retained English law to rehabilitate / reintroduce secret courts into Australia by default.
