Of course it’s absurd two years out from an election, and our feeling is that it’s a replay of Bronwyn Bishop from the 1990s, with even less chance of it happening.
Our point is that even if these polls are inaccurate (and they would be) and don’t mean anything (and they really don’t), people are asked the question and one in three people respond by suggesting Pauline Hanson as prime minister.
Perhaps it would be more to the point to debunk from the outset the absurdity of a poll for the preferred PM including a party with almost no elected reps and Pauline herself a Senator who cannot literally win the right to be PM.
So what kind of bogus poll is that to begin with?
The polls alone are absurd propaganda. Everything downstream is idiocy.
Hanson is the current front for the divisive tactics of western Empire, she is backed by massive American money and their local equivalents including Gina and Newscorpse.
To me the logical conclusion from all this funded hype for her as a politician with no current path to be PM, is that a fraudulent election of some kind is on the cards. How else could she become PM.
Because i don't believe for a moment there are any more actual supporters of ON than there have ever been.
but there are disappointed Liberal supporters who would rather swallow a red headed razor blade than vote for Labor.
This is the swing that will make it possible for ON to join with the libs and make a government.
Isn't it curious that the Liberal Party never did and never will have a hope of being in government unless its in a coalition.
So all this hoo ha about ON is nothing more than the usual variable 50/50 split in the sentiment so the Aussie public. And i agree with you that Albanese acting so coy with such a massive election win is very dumb. Or more likely just the usual playbook of the Uniparty musical chairs game.
I really hope Labor can prove us wrong. I vote Greens but i have an irrational soft spot for the labor party that "could". Like the little Red Engine.
In my view all the major parties in Liberal Democracies have been captured by donors and lobbyists and government for the 1%, even the supposedly Left of centre parties such as Labor.
Well said , in every detail . The mirror of this situation is the government’s loss of the Voice Referendum. Racism stood out as a major failing of too many ill-informed voters , which Albanese and his government lacked the spine and the necessary visionary
leadership to combat . Spineless to the core , Albanese does not deserve to be Prime Minister at this time . His only
reactions to urgent leadership issues are “turn the temperature down”. As a piece of hollow , insipid rhetoric it’s almost impossible to beat.
I can only disagree. By any careful examination of principles of democracy, justice and our constitution the Voice was racist, elitist, supremacist, undemocratic and unconstitutional and most Australians could see that.
We may not practice it enough but Australians believe in a fair go and Jack is as good as his Master.
The Voice sought to elevate a tiny group of Australians with aboriginal ancestry, in the case of most so little it should not even count because they are more anglo-european than anything aboriginal, above all others.
The NO vote was a vote against racism. The Constitution is there to represent every Australian equally and to single out one group for special treatment betrays the rest. No group should be mentioned in the Constitution because the only group which can ever matter is - AUSTRALIANS. Ancestry, religion and all the rest are and should be constitutionally irrelevant.
The Voice would have given around 3% of Australians greater rights constitutionally and a louder voice in the name of racism. It was an appalling proposal and deserved to be utterly defeated as it was.
Think about it. Most Australians with aboriginal ancestry are doing fine with the same lives and outcomes as anyone else. This group is over-represented in State and Federal Parliaments at 12% and they of course have nothing in common with the very small group, less than 1% who are struggling in dysfunctional aboriginal communities despite billions poured into trying to solve their problems. Their problems will NEVER be solved until they do what the others have done and assimilate into the modern world with every single aboriginal community closed down permanently.
No Voice would ever achieve that because the power of that Voice would ensure that these Australians with aboriginal ancestry had to continue to suffer to justify such an electoral and political voice.
Racism, even when seen as positive, never solves anything.
It was a disgusting proposal and yes, I know many who supported it meant well, but spend time in the horrors of aboriginal communities and then alongside the vast majority who assimilated generations ago to understand that those with aboriginal ancestry who struggle already have too much voice and far too much money and it has solved nothing. And also take note that the tribalistic/clan nature of aboriginal societies means the wealth and power will be creamed off by the rich and powerful and the rest are left to wallow in their suffering.
