I couldn’t agree more. Seeing him turn up in a motorcade to a burnt out Cobargo bringing nothing but the expectation of a handshake and photo op was infuriating and sickening.
He’s an unfortunate example of a person who has consistently failed upwards.
ScoMo was a selfish incompetent fraud who should be gaoled for Robodebt alone, which stole huge sums from the most defenceless people, but Morrison blamed others and denied responsibility, despite the damming evidence from the royal commission.
AO awards are great for recognising unsung heroes, but politicians should not get awards for just doing their jobs.
Keep the honours for recognising the otherwise unappreciated and unthanked.
Whilst giving them to ex PM's who got paid well on the job and get a generous pension after seems more inappropriate than the successes of sportspeople or successful business people (who achieved substantial material reward) I think none of those have missed out on appropriate recognition or rewards. The tireless volunteers that see the lives of those doing it tough improved by their efforts as their reward are far more deserving.

It makes a mockery of honours given to ppl who actually deserve them.
The gong for ScoMo is all part of the ongoing conservative project to rewrite history and white wash their misdeeds and criminality.
