At the next election if there is not enough candidates to allow me to put Labor Liberal and PHON at the bottom of a long list . My ballot paper will be blank. I have always considered carefully and voted Labor except for the NSW government that housed Milton Orkopolous and Eddie O’Beid. The Minns government is on the nose but i have a Green local member now. But Labor won’t get my vote State or Federal. It’s almost impossible to remove Albanese from office. He is the deadwood holding us back.
With respect to the Labor government their position on Gambling is one of self interest. My belief is the ALP’s position is concern that if they pursue a stronger position on Gambling that Hellfire will fall upon Labor similar to what occurred when the Labor Government during the Rudd/Gillard era attempted to introduce a ‘super profits’ tax. Sure the polls show the voting population is in favour of stronger controls on gambling. But when push comes to shove and the Clubs, the TV networks, the Sporting Codes and the Gambling conglomerates start raising hell Albanese probably believes all bets are off (pardon the pun). Albanese’s aim is to win the next election and a red flag goes up any time Albanese believes that a policy gets in the way of reelection.

One Nation function s not as a political alternative but as a way to create the conditions for the continued rightward shift of Labor policy.
These are changes their backers want to be made, and PHON makes it look as if Labor has to do something.
